After Lawless opens, it’ll be a while until Tom’s next film will open, but Tom has a million projects going on at one time, so let’s see if I can break it down:
1. Mad Max - filming right now in Namibia, out next year, maybe.
2. Driven to Extremes - Discovery Channel documentary about driving in Siberia. Filmed but unknown when it’ll be aired.
3. Cicero - playing Al Capone, status unknown. Planned for 2013.
4. Biker in the 70’s film - status unknown (one of his Warner Brother deals).
5. Samarkand - film by Greg Williams about soldiers in Afghanistan. Status unknown. Research done in Afghanistan.
6. Congo adventure - Tom travelling down the Congo river. Status unknown (I don’t know what the deal was with ITV first posting the news and then retracting. But parts of DRC aren’t fit for tourism at this moment…).
7. Harold’s Harem - some kind of musical theatre - ‘Bollywood meets Taxi Driver’. Status unknown. (Please let him do this!)
8. The Long Red Road - just announced. No date set.
9. Animal poaching film - just announced. No timeline. With Leo Dicaprio & Tobey Maguire.
10. Not to mention the 4823648263 projects Tom talks about in this interview…
I’m happy if just a handful of these babies happen! And I wouldn’t mind a bit of live theatre. I can go to London, no problem, no problem at all. *g*
