So, the news today is that Tom is in talks to play George Mallory:
Tom Hardy is in early talks to star in Everest for Sony Pictures. He will play George Mallory, the climber who tried three times in the 1920s to become the first man to scale the world’s highest mountain. Doug Liman will direct the film.
It does sound pretty cool and everything Everest is pretty damn interesting (even though Doug Liman doesn’t have much on his CV to brag about). And while it doesn’t surprise me that Tom would be interested in this kind of adventure and adventurer of yore my big question is WHEN WOULD HE HAVE THE TIME?!!
I mean, remember this list of projects? Seems his plate is pretty damn full the next, say 20 yrs or so. Everybody wants Tom in their film. Can’t say I blame him, I’d fight to the death to get him in a film I was making. :)
