Does anyone else get the feeling, when it comes to awards shows like the MTV Movie Awards, that the result is dependant on more than just the public vote?

I mean, the winner is almost always present, no? Is that really a coincidence? I imagine them calling people up beforehand, asking if they’ll come. I can imagine how a call to Tom Hardy might go:

MTV: Are you coming to our awards show, Tom?

Tom: No, thank you, darling. I don’t care about such trivialities, I prefer to hone my craft here in Brooklyn and hang out with my son and my missus.

(MTV calls Tom Hiddleston instead…)

BAFTA:s rising star award being the obvious exception (since Tom got the award despite his absence). Even though a  phone call might have sounded about the same…

(Nothing against Tom Hiddleston - I know he’s enormously popular and he’s a very cool and likeable guy. If the race was close on who was the winner, I’m just not sure they’d give it to the one who won’t come… Tom obviously doesn’t care for events like these, and so he also won’t win.)

I wasn’t going to post anything about Tom’s Italian outing (because I really don’t need to know what he’s eating and when). But this is kind of funny. Just how tight was that t-shirt? *g*

Hardy boy’s adventure

Tom Hardy could be a hipster. The “Inception” star had women swooning at Antica Pesa in Williamsburg Thursday night as he walked in and out of the restaurant for phone calls and cigarette breaks. Hardy was there for an Italian dinner, wearing a tight T-shirt that the ladies just couldn’t handle. “At one point, a stunning blond approached him,” a spy says, but Hardy stuck to his guy pals all night.

Just a theory, but unless someone is stealing his phone and posting them, he has accounts.

I’m sorry, but he really doesn’t - all those ‘selfies’ photos are old.  But he used to have a myspace account where he posted lots and lots and photos. He closed that down a few years ago, though. And those are the photos still circling around. This has been blogged about plenty the past years, if you look around the web.

Also, one big advantage of Tom’s love of tattoos in combination with his tendency to pose half naked and the way he keep changing his looks, makes him fairly easy to date. Not one of these accounts claiming to be Tom have posted a new photo that I hadn’t seen before. They’re all old or even someone elses.
