Yet another, highly photoshopped, version of a This Means War cover. This one is extra weird; why is Chris’ gun pointed at Reese’s breast while Tom’s is pointed … elsewhere? A difference in personal tastes? Hmm. *g*

By now, they’ve mentioned the alternative - gay - ending to This Means War showing up on the DVD so many times that I’m beginning to think (hope) they’re serious. From an interview with McG (love the bonus TTSS-comment!):
Mr Hardy, as unlikely as it sounds, has found the one movie with a bigger, gayer subtext than Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy .
“Yep,” nods McG. “It’s a very, very homoerotic movie. It’s Top Gun ’s shirtless volleyball scene homoerotic. I’ve even got an alternative ending for the DVD where the lads end up in each other’s arms. Tom is very alpha. And so is Chris.
“And Chris is so decidedly American and early Tom Cruise. And Tom Hardy is decidedly British. And I’ve also always liked pictures with that kind of alpha thing between male friends where they respect each other but couldn’t ever acquiesce.”

Fitting perfectly with the previous article about Tom and sex: an interview with the three stars of This Means War (with bonus Swedish subtitles!) where they describe a perfect date. One word: BONKING!

Tom prefers sex…

From a Dutch interview with the actors of This Means War (translation: me + google):

Looks vs accent
The film revolves mainly around the battle of the sexes. According to [Chelsea] Handler, this all boils down to penetration, which is also what people prefer that people talk about. “You also get to know a woman via her vagina. Additionaly, the struggle between the men is important. Handler explains: “If I were to advise Reese in real life which of the two to choose, then I really don’t know. The appeal of Tom, who is British, is primarily his accent. He thinks himself it’s mainly his uncircumcised sexual organ which attracts women. In turn, Chris should have it especially because of his looks, and particularly his beautiful body.
Rivalry?
Tom doesn’t go to movies on a date, his favorite activity for this is sex. This actor is very down to earth when it comes to relationships, he thinks the woman is always in control in the game of love. Chris, thanks to its handsome looks clearly finds it much easier to seduce
women. He doesn’t need particularly much effort to conquer the heart of a lady. He would in real life, unlike in this film, never risk friendship for love, his friends always come first. The opinion of Tom on the other hand it is completely at odds: he would do anything for a woman if he is convinced that she is the one. Also in the field of sport, these men couldn’t be more different. For all those action scenes these men were in top form. Chris has done nothing special to get in form, he just kept to his old routine: boxing. “It’s the ideal way to clear your head.”

Tom, contrary to his appearance, doesn’t work out, He likes his body how it is now. Although the film’s biggest theme was the rivalry between the two men, it wasn’t like that behind the scenes, said the actors.

Why did these stars decided to participate in this action comedy, which is still something quite different from their previous projects? Tom is very honest in that, as an emerging talent in Hollywood thanks to his performance in ‘Inception’, he wanted to especially work with Reese.

A short clip from a This Means War junket interview where Tom gets a laughing fit - over the trapeze again! There’s got to be a joke between them there somewhere, something involving that trapeze…

Another junket interview for This Means War! This is from JoBlo.com.

Seems the embedding isn’t working. The clip is here

Individual junket interviews with the cast of This Means War!

Why is Tom sitting in a room with a million candles?

Interviews with the cast of This Means War - mostly worth watching because of what happens at around 5.36 and onwards. When he wants to, Tom really does have the best dead-pan face.

Curiously, at the beginning of this interview I was just thinking about how different Tom & Chris seems here: Tom has his legs crossed, wears a necklace etc, while Chris is sitting with his legs VERY wide apart. And then that happened. Ha.
