A photo of Tom in Botswana from January which now has some added info by the woman in the photo:

Found Tom Hardy in Gaborone Botswana, in the basement parking of a hotel here. Was so awesome, he was on his way to meet Leonardo in Kasane.

Leonardo? Could that be Leonardo Dicaprio perhaps? The chap with whom he’s developing those anti-poaching movies? We know Tom was in South Africa & Botswana (and who know where else?) to do some kind of research of anti-poaching, at least. And to do something called ‘Tom Hardy’s African Conservation’, as I’ve previously mentioned.

Kasane in Botswana is apparently a starting point for many wildlife journeys, as it’s situated right by a national park and much more.

So, it’s likely he did see Leo there! Leo seems to have managed to sneak under the radar, though. He’s had years and years of experience with that, after all.

Anyway, I’m just trying to piece all this information together, it’s like a rather elusive puzzle. *g*

Is this part of some nefarious plan of Jessica’s, to meet and be photographed with as many of Tom’s male coworkers (whom she hasn’t been in any film with herself) as possible? It’s highly suspicious. *g*

While speaking of a happy Tom… Happiest photos there ever was. From almost exactly two years ago: Feb 3, 2011. Oh, how time flies!

Tom, Leo & Tobey working together

Yet ANOTHER project in the works for Tom Hardy:

Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Tom Hardy are teaming up to produce an untitled animal-trafficking drama that is set up at Warner Bros, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

Hardy came up with the idea, inspired by friends who are former special forces operatives and went on to become anti-poacher fighters in South Africa and other nations.

The goal, say sources, is to make a movie in the vein of Traffic, Steven Soderbergh’s multi-story take on the various impacts of the war on drugs. In this case, the story would look at everything from the ground war on poachers in the African savannah to how animal material ends up in the fashion houses of Paris. It’s unclear whether DiCaprio, Maguire or Hardy would act in the movie.

A search for a writer has begun.

Dicaprio and Maguire are lifelong pals but rarely have worked together, although they both are starring in The Great Gatsby for Warners, which is set for release next summer.

DiCaprio also is longtime animal-rights activist. Last year he became the spokesman for a campaign to protect elephants organized by the International Fund for Animal Walfare.

Hardy is one of the studio’s new favorite actors, coming off his notable appearances in The Dark Knight Rises and Inception (alongside DiCaprio). Hardy is starting to become active as a producer, having recently set up an untitled biker project at Warner Bros.

Tom/Eames tells Ellen/Ariadne about something obviously quite outrageous.

Why are Inception set photos STILL so much fun? They never stop being the best things. Particularly when the photographers were mostly interested in Leo and all we’re doing is looking at everything else.

Poor Eames, no one wants to talk to him except his imaginary friend!

(I’m guessing this is Tom Hardy rehearsing, but it looks quite pitiful. *g*)

Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hardy play fighting and giggling on the set of Inception. Oh, the giggling. And the flirting! ♥

Is Tom directing a film?

There are a LOT of French articles and interviews with Tom out there right now - and I’m working on collecting and translating them. One of them has a piece of news which is absolutely FANTASTIC if true - but I’m also very confused as to why we haven’t heard a thing about this before.

Tom is, according to an article, DIRECTING a film called The Bicycle - which will be produced by Leonardo Dicaprio!

I mean, wow. Can that really be true? Is it perhaps a short film? This is from L’Express (excerpt - the rest is just about why he’s an actor to watch and his background):

An unknown actor on the set of The Reckoning, he slapped the star Paul Bettany, who “spoke badly” of him. Starring role in Bronson he comes to blows with the director Nicolas Winding Refn. “He emphazised his own part too much on a project which I started, but I would work with him again if he asked me, without hesitation.” Too tempestuous to integrate with the theater establishment at the beginning of his career, Tom is now hailed for his seriousness: he lost 12 kilos to play a junkie in a TV movie and gained 12 kilos of muscle for  Warrior.

Warrior comes out this week, with Joel Edgerton and Nick Nolte, you’ll be able to see him in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, adapted from the novel by John le Carré, as the hero of the remake of Mad Max, directed by George Miller, and the “third” Batman from his friend Christopher Nolan for whom he has already played in Inception. He will also direct The Bicycle, produced by … Leonardo DiCaprio. “Tomorrow, the favor of the king will go to someone else,” he said. Nothing is less certain.
