For my fellow Tom Hardy-archaeologists: Once upon a time, back in 2006, Tom & his dad et al planned to publish a handbook for young/new playwriters called “The Octoplot Revolution”. This here is the planned cover of said handbook. And this here is the only time I’ve seen Tom mentioning it:

Tom Hardy, an Olivier award-winning actor who has joined forces with his father Chips Hardy and members of the Shotgun Theatre Company to help launch what they call the Octoplot Revolution. Tom, who appeared with Anne-Marie Duff in the BBC’s The Virgin Queen, told me that the Octoplot Revolution is a handbook that describes how to write a basic play or screenplay in eight easy-to-follow stages.

‘It’s a simple format and it becomes a way of expressing yourself. Anyone can follow it,’ Tom told me. The Hardys are about to join an Educational Outreach venture with the 32 London boroughs to take the Octoplot Revolution to 14 to 16-year-old students. Tom starts filming Stuart: A Life Backwards, based on Alexander Masters’ novel, with Benedict Cumberbatch for the BBC and HBO.

Tom explained that he and his mates set up Shotgun, based at the Latchmere Theatre in Battersea, as a way of ‘stopping us getting upset when the phone doesn’t ring during our downtime’.

From here.

This is a another promo video for Tom’s Shotgun theatre project (tomhardyspinky has posted the other one). This time with hip-hop. And Tom saying ‘everday I train on stage, I will live.’

Sorry about the quality, it’s the best I can find…
