The complete documentary Inside Incredible Athletes - narrated by Tom Hardy, for those who may not have seen it.

You should watch this, not just because of Tom’s hypnotically soothing voice, but because it’s awfully fascinating. It’s about British disabled athletes competing in this year’s Paralympics in London and how their bodies and brains compensate and cope to become truly incredible athletes.

Anonymous asked: Do you happen to have a link or file of that wonderful voiceover Tom did for Nike IE shoes. I can't seem to find the full audio file anywhere. :(

You can find that and several other of Tom’s voiceovers here (including the recent Panasonic ad):

More voice overs in our future!

Apparently, Tom’s still doing adverts. I do wonder why.

Had a sneak preview of the voice over for Tom Hardy’s new panasonic adverts… Also sat in his chair!!!!! =D amazing day!

A short clip from the documentary From the Ashes, featuring Tom Hardy’s lovely, lovely narration.

There’s another, longer one here - which I can’t embed.

Also, here’s a comment from the director:

And when did Tom Hardy come on board as narrator? Presumably quite late on?

Well, I started talking to his agent in June 2010, she was keen and he was, but obviously you can’t record a narration until the documentary is actually ready. He was interested throughout though and is a cricket fan. A lot of people don’t know, Tom did actually play cricket for Middlesex Colts when he was younger. I don’t think he plays as much anymore, I think he maybe more interested in cage fighting! But yeah, Tom’s great and really interested and had a good time doing it, so it was definitely a bit of a coup to get him.

A little soundbite of Tom Hardy narrating the documentary film From the Ashes. It’s just 15 seconds, but for you gravelly-voiced!Tommy fans out there…

Tommy the cricketer

James Erskine writes here a bit about his cricket documentary From the Ashes and says this bit, relevant to our interests:

The final icing on the cake was only completed last week when the extraordinarily talented Tom Hardy (who played for the Middlesex Colts in his youth and now plays Mad Max and Bronson) agreed to lend his voice to the narration.

Middlesex Colts! Aww! I’d love to see little!Tommy playing cricket. Actually, I’d kind of love to see Tom in that traditional white cricket wear, he’d look splendidly handsome. :)

Tom narrating cricket documentary

Apparently, Tom’s worked on the documentary From the Ashes. This was just posted by director James Erskine (who also directed the film EMR with Tom).

Just recorded Tom Hardy voiceover for the new movie From the Ashes. Excellent job!

Yay! He’s such an excellent narrator.

Apparently, the film can be seen in UK cinemas on May 10 only, as a charity thing. Then, apparently, it’s out on DVD. And it’s about cricket… :)

Here’s a seven minute long sound file I’ve put together of Tom’s narration for the documentary Inside Incredible Athletes for Channel 4 last year. It’s about future participants in the Paralympics 2012, in London. Apparently, Tom wanted to do this because he feels so strongly about the Paralympics. :)

Anyway, it’s a collection of some of Tom’s narration from the film. The documentary is originally 70 mins long and Tom comes with little bits here and there, so it’s not that easy getting together a sound file which makes sense. But it’s pretty fantastic hearing his beautiful, deep, SOOTHING voice, talking about brains, science and horses and whatnot. Tom should record lots and lots of books, so we can have him in our ears at any time we please.
